Un Escorpión Perfumado (Spanish for A Perfumed Scorpion) is the nineteenth studio album by Omar Rodríguez-López as a solo artist. Marcel Rodríguez-López and Deantoni Parks, who toured with the Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group in 2010, are featured on the album. The title is a reference to the book A Perfumed Scorpion.
On November 29 an official video for the song "Agua Dulce De Pulpo" was released.[1] The digital download version was released on December 20.[2] Pre-orders for the CD started shipping from Hellomerch.com around January 3, the first 150 of which received a poster of the album artwork. The vinyl edition shipped around February 1, 2011, with an additional 150 posters being distributed.
An alternate version of "Agua Dulce de Pulpo" has since been released as "Tentaculos" on Rodríguez-López's June 2012 album Saber, Querer, Osar y Callar, while the other songs resurfaced in 2016, partially re-recorded and remixed, on El Bien y Mal Nos Une.
